Scholarship from a sponsoring college; If a NM Finalist does not receive either 1 or 2 above, USC will award the student an additional scholarship on top of the Presidential, to make the student a NM Scholar. In the past, the additional scholarship was $4K ($500/semester for 8 semesters). I don't know what it will be this year.

Paying 90k is ridiculously expensive for us. We do not qualify for financial aid and looking at how competitive receiving Merit scholarship is number of students receiving it we won’t keep our hope high for merit either. Ridiculously competitive this year.Ah interesting. We are in LA, so that wouldn't be a big deal (I'd be fine with it) but she really loves the idea of being on campus. I didn't think anything would change her mind about her first choice where she is accepted with $20,000/year scholarship but USC acceptance (albeit spring) seems to have her reconsidering.
