Nov 21, 2010 · You will need the proper tools to unscrew the old barrel without damaging or bending the frame. It is unlikely that the new barrel will index correctly so you will need to remove material from the shoulder on the barrel and that will require resetting the barrel-cylinder gap and probably recutting the forcing cone.
