I kept the original scope as a novelty piece. Mine was a pawn shop find in Georgia in 2012. It's the reason I found this forum.

Earlier today I made a trade for a Glenfield Model 30A, cal. .30-30. It is pre-crossbolt safety, blue steel and a hardwood stock which I believe is probably birch. It is in very nice shape.
