Lost Sectors don't have a seasonal reward pool. They only have specific slot drops per day. Lost Sectors are just weighted to give you exotics you haven't gotten yet, and then it's random. You can probably run Lost Sectors for both. I don't recommend spending shards on Xur. It's not worth the 100 shards.
