Highest DPS handwrap monk builds are strength based. There aren't really any special gimmicks. Int and Chr are dump stats. Grab the TWF feat line and the other standard feats for melee characters (Improved Critical, Combat Expertise, etc.). Enhancements are 41 points and t5 in Shintao.
Edit: Another reason why, is that it's just "easier" to aquire casting gear than it is melee as a Wizard. Hence, if you're new to playing one, gearing for spell casting provides for a quicker return on investment. Alternative idea: Take 2 levels of Artificer and 18 Wizard. DDO doesn't have anything like the Mystic Theurge prestige class. So wizard 10 / Alchemist 10 would be subpar compared to a pure build based on either. Flavor option: theoretically you could make an Imbue-based hybrid to take advantage of stacking dice from different trees.
Overall while I want to try to make this work as my main, I gotta give it a 6 out of 10 just due to the bugs, and inability to really do any dungeon with constructs well.
