The Marathon Des Sables is a super-long race operated each April where you run roughly 6 marathons over 6 days, carrying all your gear as you run, and sleeping rough in the desert (it differs each year but normally somewhere between 210 km to 260 km in total). It’s always run in the Sahara desert, in Morocco quite near the Algerian border.
