I am learning repair as I go and worked with my Dad to try to diagnose this issue. We disassembled the lower unit and didn't find anything glaringly wrong with the water pump or impeller but it still won't autoprime.

Neither one runs, but both look like brand new and came with the original manuals and hang tags from when they were sold. There is no paint loss on the prop or skeg on either motor and the spark plugs look new. How it works: Gamefisher ignition is the CDI type ignition consist - the charging coil -facing toward flywheel magnets, the trigger coil - combined with CDM and facing toward the shaft , the triggering magnet with ignition advance and the spark coil.
