From what I've discovered, you have to launch the steam shortcut, you cannot launch the CSGO application exe. What this means is that if you go into the steam files for CSGO, you cant use the csgo exe found in the Counter-Strike folder. So you can't pin it to taskbar as its own icon, either. The one file is the config file. It will always be changed from default if you start the loader. If this is all you're getting then the file validation completed successfully. Keep in mind that file validation *does not remove* files. So any cruft you have left over from mods is still going to be there.1.
