Truck seems to buck or…. Having problems with a 2014 mack MP8. Truck seems to buck or shudder around 1400 rpm. Seems to be more of an issue when cool in the morning. Truck is starting fine. Injectors were updated with stainless cups about 400,000 mi ago. I have also noticed this problem a few times in the afternoon and up at 1600 rpm but rarely. Bad turbo could be causing soot build up. Mack usually wants us to remove pipe from turbo to DPF and do a "snap throttle" test to see if the engine smokes bad when reving it up. Posted August 27, 2016. Have a 2016 Mack Granite 1400 miles, with a regen problem. It will not do a passive regen which results in the filter getting clogged every 4 days. We average speeds of over 60 Mph. The check engine light came on and I took it to Mack. they said that it needed a regen although it did not request it.
