Jan 14, 2020 · The general process before starting was as follows: 1) disconnect negative battery. 2) remove splash cover from front. 3) remove bolt holding AC line to bracket. 4) remove bolt holding windshield washer fluid tank. 5) remove wire bolted to side of alternator and plug from rear, detach wire bracket from alternator bracket. When the alternator is charging it should be 13.5-14.5v. I've seen the intermittent battery light when high loads are placed on the alternator like both AC units, radio, etc. Then when loads are reduced the battery light goes out. This is my first time to post questions regarding my 2011 odyssey alternator problems. The OEM alternator was replaced by a Denso reman last summer due to failing to charge the battery, it was smoked and caused burning smell before it was died. However the Denso seems dead again after only one year passed.
