Today the Steam Deck box was delivered completely empty and it wasn't even a clean cut on the tape. FedEx refuses to deliver to my building most days and when it does, things get stolen. I’m kind of worried I won’t ever see my Deck due to FedEx’s incompetence in my area, but the fact that I can’t ship it to a FedEx location for pick up is a real slight on Valve’s part imo. Aug 2, 2022 · FedEx's shoddy delivery and poor oversight of packages in transit is inexcusable. Steam shouldn't have to eat the costs of FedEx incompetence. Fedex hires convicted felons, they say they don't but they do. I used to work for them. These steam decks can be sold for double their MSRP right now.

It's poor strategy that reeks of "We are not confident in our product enough to go into mass production", and if you care about the future of the Deck, or a potential Deck V2, you should wish upon a star that they market it to non-steam users, otherwise it's gonna go the same way as the Steam Controller, except the Deck didn't deserve that.
