As I said I don't use Tradovate, but basic data in CQG data in Ninjatrader is $12 a month, and it provides the main CME instruments, among many others. Either way, you are paying for market data. I suppose similar to the way that Samsung or Apple make phones, but the don't work without a carrier connection, which have separate contracts and fees. But Ninja has a 'buy' option for the highest tier, like 1K and change, where Tradovate doesn't, you'll need to pay $199 per month.
