NinjaTrader might seem outdated and complicated but it really isn't. Its VERY customizable and I'm not sure if you know this but they own tradovate too. If you're looking for free there is the community edition of MotiveWave, another solid platform. Quantower offers a free edition as well but its a new platform so you might experience some bugs.

I trade/enter and exit right off Tradingview and manage my stops and limits on the Tradovate platform via their DOM. Tradovate has reports that i havent seen anywhere else - it allows you to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses in your trading through various metrics. Id suggest downloading and testing the demo.

Tradovate does have the market replay feature which is awesome for practicing but it does cost $50/m if not on the Active Trader plan, which again doesn't offer much of a discount on micros. Both Tradovate and TS have sim accounts, but TS has no market replay feature. However, it is far easier to view, or even export, historical data with TS.
