Pretty much every meta glaive uses Jho-Cena or a very similar set, so make that if you plan on using IG. The best glaives are Elderfrost Gambado and Absolute Ruiner Glaive. They're by far the most used in TA. There are other good glaives too, but those are the absolute must haves. Balanced kinsect is the overall best one.
The optimal builds are stickied in this subreddit. The IGs I used to progress are: Fire: Rathalos; Glavenus will be better once you unlock it but later on when you get Silver Rathalos, the Rathalos line will be better.
