It is designed that way for some reason, so once your engine miss was corrected the stabilitrak system was turned back on by the car's computer.I contacted OnStar and they found 3 diagnostic codes: 1) the ABS is not functioning, 2) the Traction Control / Stabilitrak is disabled, and 3) the engine control module is malfunctioning. For #3, they recommended service by the next day. Upon turning off the ignition and restarting, the errors went away.2009-2012 GMC Canyon. 2007-2013 GMC Acadia. 2010-2013 GMC Terrain. 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook. The cause of these trouble codes and braking noise is debris accumulation on the magnetic “tone” wheel built into the wheel bearing. From what I can find for the Acadia, you can disable the traction control by pressing the TC button, but you can't turn off Stabilitrack.
