Given high local real estate prices, I have not pursued a real estate strategy. I don’t have enough knowledge or motivation to track down deals in LCOL and MCOL. I’ve experimented with a small amount in Fundrise (a REIT fund type thing) but it’s basically a gamble. I have no idea if they’re a good substitute for traditional RE ownership.
