Ford f150 turns over but wont start.

Hey gang, 2016 5.0L XLT Sport with an intermittent starting problem. Turn key start, no auto-start/stop on the vehicle (however it stalls at a traffic light or intersection half the time....A problem for another time). Half the time I go to start the truck I get a very short crank cycle, like the engine turns over a few revolutions then stops ...1999 F-150 XLT 5.4L Triton 4x4 super cab with a 4" body lift. I bought it used. It has 225,000 miles with engine and transmission rebuilt. This truck doesn't get driven every day - sometimes sits for a week or so at a time... Issue: A couple weeks ago, it took 4 or 5 attempts to get it to start. Everything looks good on the display and can hear clicks from front fuse box when turning key to start position. Have swapped the starter relay - makes no difference.

Or I turn it over twice, then turn key off then it start right up. That's easy to test. Pull the line and have someone turn the key while you hold the end over a bucket. The instant the key is turned you should have pressure. The only reason there would be 'lag' would be if the truck sat long enough for the pressure to bleed off.
