From what I learned online, the upper auger should be "on" (110-volts) for 3-4 seconds, then "off" (0-volts) for about 8-10 seconds. Hi Dave. A clogged ignitor, faulty ignitor position, or bad fire sensor can be the reason. 1. Check the cartridge heater and make sure it is burning perfectly 2. Clean the burn area regularly to make sure there are no cloggings 3. Make sure that the fire sensor connection is perfectly secured 4. Clear out the dirt clogged in the ignitor 5. Reposition the ignitor in accordance with the manual 6.

The stove seems to be working great, but has been burning a full hopper (60 lbs.) in about 19 hours.
