So basically if a weapon has innate bleed, occult is better for increasing your overall damage. If you wanted to use a none bleed weapon then you would choose a blood infusion to allow arcane scaling on that weapon. okay thanks bleed and its scaling is kinda confusing but yeah occult is superior. #5. On my Arcane build, I'm running dual Hoslo's whips, with Hoarfrost stomp and Cold on the left one, and Bloodhound's step+Poison affinity on the right one. So far it's shredded most everything via frostbite and bleed procs, and having consistent %HP DoT from the poison ticking when I need to regen stamina or heal up.Hoslow is life. Urumi does get decent scaling with keen as does the thorned but the base damage on hoslow is higher. Unless you are running pure dex with keen infusions, hoslow is usually better all around. That said, urumi does have slashing damage so it can be useful on enemies strong vs blunt. 4.Looking for good whips, I've been using Hoslows whip and the Magma Candlestick, but I'm looking for alternatives, I like one that you can Infuse but the other one doesn't matter. I don't know why you'd go for occult over blood here. At max upgrade, a blood Hoslow whip has str D, dex C, and arc D scaling. Occult has str E, dex D, and B arc.
