Its got good reach and a solid moveset+damage. Its a bit slow however and the R2's are pretty easy to punish if your foe is good at the game and has encountered the butcher knife before. I personally prefer the battle axe due to its light weight, 120 counter rating and it also has faster and better tracking r2's. 3. Reply.

Pates Spear is alright too. Halberds: Syans Halberd and Helix Halberd are the best for DEX. Powerstanced Helix Halberds are a blast on DEX builds.
