I can see how it’d be a problem on something like a scout rifle, but on the SMG it proc’s volatile fast enough that it’s never an issue. Volatile rounds is the best part of void 3.0. Using it just feels sooooo good on every weapon. I really hope that not just every subclass gets a varient of it, but that we get more methods of receiving the buff. This is part of my double special loadout for Gambit rounds this season. Reaping well maker. An alh pardon with blinding to stun a group of ads. Pick up the well, font of might and volatile rounds, commit add genocide. And a clown cartridge Royal Entry for invaders / invading / boss DPS. Rarely run out of ammo for Wavesplitter. Ton of fun. Currently, the only way to get volatile rounds is by having the specific fragments equipped that give it to you for 3-4 seconds after getting a grenade kill and then you get volatile rounds for void weapons only. This is not enough to compete against Incandescent and Voltshot. They are both S+ tier perks for both PvE and PvP.Yeah I just don't bother with the fragment or the perk lol. Imo void overshield is nice but works best on titan for the 400% grenade Regen and imo volatile is nice but the buff on grenade kill is short and volatile doesn't make that much of a difference in damage/ad clear (it's not jolt), and also works best on titan for the team heal on proc.

On 3/9/23 Nessus-Orrery, "volatile rounds" never appears. Tried outside of lost sector, tried Nessus-Cistern... nothing. My load-out was unchanged from day to day.

Pretty sure you should get both explosions. I’ve been using the new iron banner void sword with chain reaction and this works with volatile so it doesn’t appear to override anything. Volatile does seem to be the most powerful of the two though. Not only do they stack. Dragonfly applies volatility if they don't die by the initial double blast.
