It features 204 intake duration, 214 exhaust, .420 intake lift and .440 exhaust. I've used it on performance TBI engines, and it absoutely works great with the stock computer, has a good idle and delivers increased low ... Intake duration at .050 220-226. Exhaust duration at .050 228-232. Lobe separation 108-110. Lift .450-.470. This should work with the valve springs you have if they are the stock 325 Chevy springs. I gave specs for a flat tappet hydraulic cam. A roller will have more lift. These retainers keep the rollers lined up with the lobe. It should be obvious then that adding a performance-oriented hydraulic roller cam to an existing 1988 or later roller cam block is very easy. The cam companies make performance hydraulic roller cams for these applications that include a step in the front of the cam nose.

FYI all the blocks from 87-2001 had roller cam provisions, however in 96 first year of the vortec block is when they actually put the roller cam in it. 87-95 is a flat tappet cam, but still has the provisions. Look for a casting #880 on the block and your good to go.
