I usually calculate based on the capital required to run the trade or the bpr. For example, the short put on a $6 stock might only require $250 in capital. I guess if I had to make an analogy for this it would be weeklies are like shooting a free throw in a basketball game late 4th quarter whereas 30-45 DTE is like shooting a free throw in the 2nd quarter.
