You say it’s defaulting to open in Notes, which makes me think you’re running The Sims 4 using MacOS. .ini files are incompatible with MacOS, they’re designed for Windows operating systems. Similarly, to make use of Reshade (or GShade) files, you’d need those applications to function, and these apps are not designed for MacOS. I'm searching for a way to use something similar or reshade itself on mac (im sure u cant use reshade on mac tho), if anyone knows any way pls tell me !! You can use reshade on mac by using parallels. I used to use it when I'd play sims on my macbook.
