You can't directly sell to another player, but you can sell to an npc then your friend can buy it from the npc if he talks to them before they leave. The ships class and slots will be randomized when the Npc buys it. Both of you go to find an abandoned ship. You claim that ship, your ship will be abandoned.
What no one has mentioned yet is the tech upgrades you get from derelict freighter missions are class locked by system. What that means is if you do a derelict freighter mission in a system and you get a B-class tech upgrade, while it's random which tech upgrade you'll get (i.e. fuel efficiency, hyperdrive, combat, exploration, mining, trading), you'll only ever see them as B-class. Jun 13, 2022 · Load the save, go to the freighter tab, and click the button at the top to resize the available inventory slots. If you want to also 'enable" the slots added, right click the slots themselves. If you resize the available slots, but don't do the enable step, you will need to unlock them in game with cargo bulk heads. #8.
