I expected a gray Virtus upper. It turned out to be a black Virtus upper. The price was ridiculous (more than a new first gen was), but MCXs are grab them while you can. My LGS hasn't had an MCX is stock in a year. Buying an MCX would be cool, but buying a better upper (fn, BCM, etc.) would be the more cost effective option. I'd personally go with something like a BCM 14.5 upper with a p/w muzzle device to keep avoid the whole pistol hassle (don't even get me started on the NFA hassle). The top rail on the virtus is longer, so the upper receivers and handguards aren't interchangeable. I've heard someone say that the bolt on the rattler is a little shorter, but I'm not so sure that's actually the case. The lowers are identical. For clarity, I know it's a Virtus and not a Rattler.
