The TPS and map sensor both can affect limp mode. It is in limp mode. Have the transmission computer scanned for codes. It likely has a bad speed sensor. If it has a code in the trans computer, the computer will lock the transmission is second gear. You should be under warranty for free repairs.

1 Answer. Limp mode only fires every other cylinder when a fault is detected to save the motor ,,don't run it in limp mode or on the freeway. Many times on Chrysler products, one or both of the speed sensors screwed into the front of the transmission will fail, and cause the tcm to go to limp mode. Also make sure you have power to the tcm.
