Your screen and storm door closer may need to have the tension adjusted. The first step is to locate the tension adjustment screw on the end of the door closer. Next, turn the screw clockwise to tighten and make the door close slower. If you are looking to make the door close faster, turn the screw counter-clockwise to loosen.

Use a Door Latch Toolkit. Chose the square or round cornered scoring tool and place it in the tool holder. Align the cutter with the hole for the latch barrel and strike the tool with a hammer. Hold the latch plate chisel in the hole for the latch barrel and tap it with the hammer, removing half the wood from the mortise.
Tighten these with a Phillips screwdriver. Now, snap the cover plate back on, replace the handle and tighten the outer screws with the Allen key. For handles that do have exposed screws, you can skip one step. Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screws on both sides of the handle, and that is it.
