If you have mountain areas that you have already explored before the update, the Frost caves will not spawn there. They will only spawn in an area which you have not yet explored. Also they can be difficult to spot sometimes. Eventually you'll come across a mountain that will have like 8 or 9 Frost Caves.

I have played Valheim for about 2500 hours now. I did join in the Frost Cave testing. I have created a new world to explore. I'm finding it very time consuming to find mountain regions. When I find a Frost Cave after hours of search I find very little in the Caves. Even after thoroughly searching I feel disappointment in how little I do find. Seems like a lot of work for very little reward.
